Low quality final animation
Below is the evidence of my exporting my final animation in low quality.
A .mp4 file is a file type for a video and audio files and it saves your footage in a much smaller file size. Because of this, I exported the animation as a .mp4 for the lower quality so that it was supportive.
My compression rate = H.264 this means it allows for a standard compression rate to compress a large file into a smaller file without effecting any quality. By using the compression rate, the file size massively reduced from the above. To explain further, I used this compression rate as it can let you shrink a large file into a much smaller file meaning i can transfer this into a smaller devices for example smartphones and tablets. This is an advantage because the brief asks for an animation that is viewable on a smartphone device as a full page. On the other hand a disadvantage of this is that once it has been compressed, you can't undo this process. This is a disadvantage because if anything needs to be changed then I'd have to go back to the raw animation footage/timeline on Final Cut.
I compressed this file appropriately, as the brief states it needs to be viewed on a smartphone device and accessible across many other devices as this allows the animation to be spread across all different platforms and devices. Also as this is a smaller file size it doesn't take as long to download or stream which speeds up this whole process.
I used BITMAP images in your lower resolution file because i used this because these images require less space and are a smaller file size and therefore don't demand a huge amount of memory on a device, when playing back.
High quality final animation
Below is the evidence of my exporting my final animation in high quality.
Much like images (.TIFF as vector images), I had to export my animation as a high quality file so that it could be viewed on the web as required within the brief. A .mov file is a high quality file, my final size of my animation is 572.6MB, which is over half a GB. This is significantly larger than the compressed export above (62.2Mb).
In Final Cut, during the exporting process you can see that I change my compression rate to ProRes this means its a professional resolution, which doesn't compress file. It keeps all the original information connected to each file, which results in a huge amount of the memory and results in a larger file size. I used this compression rate as this is used because i wanted to create a high quality file that could be viewed on the website to promote the march. This is important as it can be viewed on high quality devices like computers and laptop as this will present the animation the best. This is because computers devices as it supports the large file size, have higher memory and processors, but an obvious disadvantage means that you cant watch this on a smaller black box device for example a phone or ipads with ease. Of course you can view it on a smartphone/tablet, but if you choose to stream or download then it will cause issues. Issues such as lagging or taking up storage are the main ones.

Was suitable for the target audience but certain parts
should not be seen by younger audience. |
Did the effects and transitions help to create a better
animation? |
Yes |
“Yes the transitions helped by making the animation
smoother and the effects helped to create more meaning” |
The effects and transitions helped to create the best
animation possible |
Was it the right length of time? |
Yes |
“Was a good length as I didn’t get bored or uninterested |
Don’t need to edit the length or shots as the duration is
good. |
